Real Life. Real Work. Real Gratitude

Update ✨ 7/18/2025
We’re beyond grateful for everyone who’s supported us—whether through donations, kind words, or just cheering us on. You’ve helped turn our camper into a home, one step at a time.

Day-to-day, we’re still hauling water, washing dishes with jugs, and using an outhouse—but every bit of support gets us closer to digging a well. It’s a big goal—$5k to $10k—but it would completely change how we live out here.

Thank you for believing in this scrappy little dream of ours.

———
Life has thrown so much our way lately.
It has a way of forcing new beginnings, even when they feel uncertain, even when they feel impossible. We never imagined we’d be here—selling what we can, letting go of what no longer serves us, and moving into a camper that was gifted to us. Not because it was the dream, but because life changed drastically, and we have to adapt. We have to keep going.
Our rent has been raised twice since January, and no matter how hard we tried to keep up, it became impossible. Instead of drowning in stress and financial struggle, we’re choosing to rebuild. To start over. To create something better for our family, even if it means doing it from the ground up—piece by piece, step by step.
This camper needs a lot of work to become a safe, stable home for our kids.
And while asking for help is one of the hardest things to do, we know we can’t do this alone.
I know times are hard for so many right now. I know we’re all carrying our own battles.
But if anyone has any salvaged materials—wood, insulation, flooring, cabinets, anything at all—we would be beyond grateful. And if you can’t give, even just sharing our story means the world.

Being parents isn’t about having all the answers. It’s about showing up, even when we’re exhausted, even when we’re scared, even when we don’t know how we’re going to make it all work. No matter how overwhelming this feels, one thing will never change—we will always be here, pushing forward, building a life for our kids with whatever we have. We’re doing everything we can, but we need help to make this camper a true home. If you’re able to support us in any way, we would be forever grateful.
Every bit of kindness, every bit of generosity, every bit of hope makes a difference. Thank you for taking the time to read this. Thank you for believing in us.
Thank you for being part of this journey.
