Family in Need: Home Lost, No Insurance

Hello everyone,

I want to say thank you for your time and support during this hard time. My mother-in-law and her family have suffered a great loss. On July 26, 2025, at approximately 3:00 am, I woke up to my wife on the phone with her brother. He was telling her the house was on fire, so we rushed to my mother-in-law's house. When we got there, the middle house was engulfed in flames, and my mother-in-law's roof was on fire. Desperate, we tried to use the water hose to put it out. My other brother climbed the wall to spray anything he could on the roof while the firefighters put the middle house out. The kids were crying and freaking out, the dogs were running through the streets, and all you could see were yellow and red trucks with flashing lights and flames.

My mother-in-law was working. Asking my brother-in-law what happened, they heard an explosion from the neighbors and my other brother-in-law yelling fire. My mother-in-law finally arrived as she was working. We talked to the arson inspector and the city inspector who walked through their house. He red-taped the house as the roof and the bathroom were compromised. My family was lucky everyone survived. The firefighters fought hard and risked it all to save not one but three houses. My mother-in-law walked into her home to see the damage and screamed as everything she worked so hard for was ruined by negligent neighbors.

Now she is faced with a home that has damage, no homeowner's insurance, and no funds to rebuild. We are asking for assistance in supporting her through this difficult time. My mother-in-law is family-oriented. She has worked hard with developmentally disabled individuals since 2006. She is a widow who not only raised her 5 children alone but also always supported other children who needed homes and were on the streets. She never complained, no matter how many hours she worked. She loves her job and those she serves with a passion. For someone who gives so much to those in need, she is willing to turn to her community to see if they can assist her. No family should hurt and be homeless due to someone else's negligence on their renters who illegally grow . By the grace of God, everyone is safe but now dealing with the aftermath. Thank you all for your support as we are grateful for any amount given. We continue to ask for help the little that was raised was used towards the roofing repair just so the roof is covered for the winter months. We still need help with electrical, HVAC, plumbing and her bathroom repairs for
the bathroom. Thank you for the continued support.
