Urgent call out for help for a young family that have 5 kids that have gone above and beyond to help 100s of flood victims. From buying any thing they can for people, getting and organizing vouchers for Amart, Big W, Kmart, Spotlight, Bunnings & Good Guys with the help of lovely people behind the scenes food supplies, furniture, white goods, heaters, clothing, baby supplies, sanitary items, camping gear, cooking supplies, blankets, beds, blow up mattresses, mental and emotional support. Helping 100s of people clean and bring there homes back to livable state. Working day in and out cooking meals, making up hampers and delivering everything with there own car and trailers working 24 hrs a day to meet any one’s needs. Anyone that needed help and still continue to do so, they have spent the last week cutting down dead trees and getting fire wood to those that need it free of charge. They are using everything in the mental, emotional and physical capacity to do everything they can to help any one. No questions, no judgment no matter how big or small. Delivering a loaf of bread and a bottle of milk an hour away from there home just so people can have a meal. The night of the floods they spent all night bringing people to their home and to the recovery centers from the waters edge. The husband Sean jumped on one of the local commercial boats (Arrows fishing charters Evans Head) and stayed out all day. Without food or drinks for themselves, saving lives and risking their own in the floods. Sean came in with Arrow for some rest and then there son Corben and Arrow went back out and continued till there was no one else to save bringing people to safety they also housed 7 families in their own home with their 5 children. Just to make sure they all had a safe place to sleep, have hot showers and hot meals. They used all of their family holiday savings and emergency money to keep the house going and pantry full. Having bills to pay. They sadly had endured a death in the family as well as all having Covid through it all. After all helping 100s of people they have just received a power bill of nearly $3000 a water bill of $512. Today as they packed all the kids in the car to headed out to chop up more fire wood for everyone in need to only find themselves stuck on the side of the road with their beloved family car broken down, they called a lovely retired mechanic that came out to try and help them only to find out that the motor in there 7 seater 4x4 has blown up. They are all physically, mentally and emotionally drained as they don’t have any financial assistance or savings left to fix or replace their car. In saying that they refuse to ask for help but are in desperate need as they don’t have a car to fit them all in. As well as not having a car to fit everyone in they don’t have a car to continue to help everyone else as they have been doing. We are asking for anyone that can help in any way possible if you can spare even a couple of dollars that would help their beautiful family. We please ask desperately locals, community family and friends to help support get this amazing, loving, selfless family back on there feet. It’s the least we can do for them after all that they have done for everyone throughout this whole ordeal whilst they still continued to struggle with there own life’s struggles. We are doing this for them as we have seen how much work and love put into everything they have done for everyone but themselves.
