My name is Lorissa, and I’m a permanently disabled mother living in Oklahoma. I’m doing everything I can to hold two households together — mine and my daughter’s, on my own SSI. But right now I desperately need help.

Because my oldest daughter and son-in-law live in heartbreaking conditions, they have to come to my home to cook, shower, and stay warm do my water and electric bills have been so much higher. I don't mind. I'm so lucky to have food to share but the electricity has to be paid.
Because my daughter is also disabled her husband chose to leave a higher paying job to care for the one person he'd do anything for. My son in law cannot take a second job. And the reason is likely a familiar one. If they go up any more in income my daughter will lose her eligibility for Medicaid that she desperately needs.
Despite all this, my daughter and her husband never complain. They also care for his autistic brother and they’re doing their best on very limited income.

And because they rely on my home for basic needs, my electric bill has shot up to nearly $400, and I have less than a week to pay it before shut-off.

I live solely on SSI, and I’m battling serious health problems. I’ve been having silent strokes, my doctors believe I may have MS, and I’ve started showing signs of early-onset dementia. Some days it’s hard to think clearly or get around, but I still do everything I can to keep my home running and help my family. Working isn’t possible for me anymore, but I never stop trying to care for the people I love.

I’m asking for your help to keep the lights on, but also please share to anyone and everyone you can.
*What Your Donations Will Help Cover:
• $400 — Immediate electric bill (urgent)
• $1,000–$1,500 — Washer/dryer so I can do laundry safely from home.

My daughter and son-in-law are amazing, hardworking people who take care of everyone around them.

If you can help — whether it’s $5, $10, or sharing this campaign — you’re giving us more than money. You’re giving us hope, safety, and stability.

Thank you from the bottom of my heart for reading, caring, and sharing.
Peace and love to you all.✌️
