Family in complete need of support

Hello! My name is Kelly Wesneski and I am asking for you to read this post and consider helping our dear friends as they initiate a new life in a safe place.

As you all may know, Tatiana Bittner and Jeff Deak’s family in the Ukraine have been part of the present day war in that part of the world. Tatiana’s sister Iryna and son Oleksander were able to escape to the safety of Tatiana and Jeff’s home last July. Iryna and Olek’s husband and father, Nicholai, was left behind based on the “laws” of war. He was able to come to be with his family very recently. The expense incurred has been immense simply to ensure their safety as they were living in Odessa where the sound of bombs had sadly become second nature. Legalizing paperwork, flights, all travel and simply hosting an entire family has taken a financial toll that could use a little assistance. I know many people have asked “how can I help?” Or “I can help with transport, food, clothing” etc, as they literally came to the US with the clothing on their backs. Iryna recently started temporary work, while Nicholai has not been able to work for the past 8 months. Oleksander is a 14 year old boy who attends school and church (with his family) trying to gain some kind of normalcy and fellowship. Tatiana and Jeff are purely supporting another family at the moment and any amount of help would be greatly appreciated for this lovely family to gain independence. The goal is for them to be able to live in their own apartment, supporting their activities of daily living and be able to drive themselves, independent of others. Sharing this post would be most helpful as well. If any of you have met this family or Tatiana and Jeff, you know they would literally give the shirt from their backs for anyone. This is why their friend’s have stepped in to ask for some financial help on behalf of Iryna, Nicholai and Oleksander. Jeff and Tatiana are family to them regardless and always will be, but this dear family’s independence is most crucial to them. We greatly appreciate your consideration in helping this family get a jump start on their new life in America!
