Hello world , my name is Autumnn Burnett, a single mother of two dropping my pride and humbly asking family to family, village to village , parent to parent for any big or small donation. From a simple prayer for peace and comfort during this time to any Finacial donation, clothing donation, housing assistance organizations, etc.

Monday , April 17th, 2023 . Our lives changed. Hours after I laid my two babies (3yo & 1 yo) down for bed. Our house caught fire around 1:30A.M. as we, my family, slept in what seemed comfortable at one time in our life now in flames. My brother yelled out in a horrifying voice “it’s a fire everybody get up it’s a fire!”. As I jumped out of bed and ran to what seemed a real life nightmare. A raging fire coming in the house from the opening of the garage. As my brother diligently and desperately tried to put out the fire (fire extinguisher, we tried filling pots and buckets with water) but was unsuccessful & a growing fire won. The only option was to gather the children and family to a safe exit. As I replay my mother stumbling down the stairs from her room barely being able to see or breathe, my brother failing to fight a fire, our family guest screaming in horror, and children crying in fear; I yelled out to my family “let’s get out it’s too big just get out we can’t do it” everyone rushed to safety barely making it through the black fogs that filled our home and nearly our lungs. All 6 of us made it out by the grace of God and luckily my younger sister that lives here was not in attendance and not present at the time of the fire for her room was one of the closest near the outbreak. My younger brother suffered smoke inhalation resulting in black cough & spit ups because he worked so hard. All of us survived but lost things to us that are irreplaceable and what held great memories (family portraits, antiques passed down generation to generation, lifetime achievements & recognitions, important documents, etc.). All those things burning before our very eyes and nothing we could do. Out of our control and after hours of watching the firefighters do their job we walked into a now foreign foundation that is unlivable, damaged, & ruined. The origin of fire was in or near the garage but the cause is still unknown. My heart is broken for this has been it for me & my children we will not let this tear us down but instead build us up for new beginnings & a new chapter. God be with us & we thank you we appreciate you & we show our gratitude to all .
