Hi there, my name is Iris and I'm fundraising for a dear friend because her conservatory roof needs replacing. Over the past few years works have been carried out to repair the leaking roof, however, the damage is now so severe that a new roof is required.

I feel like I need to tell her story about her struggle with the ongoing repairs and the need for a replacement roof.

After paying various roofers over the past 5 years,

the last builder advised that the roof is deemed un-repairable and now needs to be replaced.

My dear friend has always been kind and giving to others, and even though there are many life challenges as a single parent, over the years she has always done her best for her family and friends and even strangers. Family and friends are now by her side, giving back and helping her, but she now needs a little extra support to finally complete the works.

Her current position is that of the structural damage, and as such, with each passing showers of heavy rain, the leaks are now presenting at different positions in the roof and ceiling. She now has to place various buckets on the floor to catch the water. She currently has a little respite as a kind friend has placed a plastic sheet over the roof however, this is only a temporary solution.

Overwhelmed with anxiety, and now at breaking point and frightened that the roof will eventually cave in, her needs are now very urgent. All she can do now is to reach out and ask for help.
