Family from Mariupol escaped the horrors of war and makes it to Montrose, MN.
Imagine waking up to your town being under heavy shelling. Imagine leaving your house to bomb shelter on the the first day of war. Imagine that your electricity, internet and mobile are out. No communication. No heat. Snow outside. Imagine living in a bomb shelter with another 100 people. Imagine lack of food and milk for newborns and their constant crying. Imagine covering your children with your body when a bomb hit nearby. Imagine driving through heavy shelling, seeing cars in front of you being destoryed with everyone in them. The story can go on and on. They escaped and are now safe and sound physically, but not emotionally. Government help is lacking, the family they came to in Minnesota is doing everything they can financially and physically. Unfortunately, at this time the family who escaped the horrors of war is relying on the community to survive.
