Family and friends support Gerald Smith

Please join our family in love and support of our brother, Gerald, and his ongoing medical needs. Gerald has been battling various medical conditions since 2019 that have caused him to not be able to work and do his music and writing in Nashville which has been his main source of income. It has also prevented him from sharing his God-given talent.

Gerald has recently been in the hospital for six weeks but is now home and slowly recovering. Gerald has type 2 diabetes and congestive heart failure. He only has one kidney which is failing. He does dialysis three times weekly and is on the list for a kidney transplant. His eyesight is failing due to diabetes which prevents him from driving. It breaks his heart that he can't come home to visit his hometown in Statesboro, Ga. On top of all his sickness, Gerald and his wife's home was damaged in a storm a few weeks ago.

Throughout his music career, Gerald has donated his time and talent to many fundraisers in support of many people’s various needs.

In response to many of his family and friends wanting to support Gerald, we are opening up a GoFundMe account as a way to show your love for Gerald and his wife, Brenda.
