Childcare Fund for Families that Attend Ynot
Donation protected
Hey Everyone,
My name is Logan Kienzle, I grew up in Chatham, Illinois. As most of you know, the Village of Chatham has been rocked by tragedy. I worked at Ynot Outdoors for three summers throughout college. One of those years was in the middle of COVID, when Ynot kept their doors open to make sure that childcare in Chatham was still available. When you work at Ynot you grow so close to the kids that attend every day. When a kid does not show up, you notice. You recognize when there's one less laugh or excited scream in the gym. When you do your bus check and one of the kids doesn't say "Here", your heart drops a little.
Jamie, the owner of Ynot always works his hardest to be flexible with families experiencing financial difficulty, and I respect that most about him. We all see that rising costs are continuing to rise, and childcare is not exempt from that. With this tragedy, many of these kids will need mental health services. For some families, that is an expense that could restrict them from being able to pay for childcare throughout the summer.
I am asking all of you to help me put together a fund to support the families who attend Ynot. As a community, we should not want parents to be forced to choose between mental health services because of this horrific tragedy and child care during the summer.
Will continue to add more photos the more I get.
