Families in Mozambique Need your HELP!

Dear Friends and Family,

Giving Tuesday is such a wonderful day. It's crazy to think how few days of the year are dedicated to helping others of this magnitude

Somehow, Black Friday (previously a single day) has morphed into BLACK-CYBER MONTHSSSSSSS with trillions of dollars being spent on electronics, toys, trinkets, household items, clothes, and so much more. It's fun, the savings are big, and I'm guessing we all participated in shopping's GREATEST of days at some point in our lives.

But, none of us can deny this is a privilege. And the harsh reality is millions of people ( just like you and me ) are struggling around the globe to receive the most basic of human needs, all while we sit around and score deals on the newest 90" TV.  BUT:

THANK GOODNESS FOR GIVING TUESDAY!!!!!!!!!!!!

This is our chance to participate in one of humanity's GREATEST days. It too is a privilege to donate, however one that gives us a deeper sense of fulfillment and show compassion for those in need.

As most of you know, this past year we had the amazing opportunity to spend a month in a small community in Mozambique called Vilankulos. We cannot begin to explain to you the kindness of the people here.

6 months ago, we set-up a fundraiser to help some of the kind families in Vilakulos who are in desperate need of food. Children were suffering from malnutrition. Moms and Dads had no way of earning income as tourism collapsed due to the pandemic.  The worst we all feared here in the States (as indicated by the run on toilet paper), ACTUALLY happened in this small community. But with the generous help of over 20 wonderful donors, we were able to raise over $2k and FEED OVER 40 FAMILIES!!!

So why are we back?

We wish we could say things have miraculously gotten better, however that couldn't be further from the truth. Tourism has yet to bounce back as the pandemic is now on its second wave across the globe and food insecurity continues to be a troubling problem in Vilankulos. In desperation, our local contacts have reached out for help. And so, we're here asking friends and family for small donations to help on Giving Tuesday

Similar to before (because we are asking you to donate) we too are committed. We have again decided to MATCH all donations up to $500. Every dollar you donate is doubled to get us to our $1000 goal! :)

100% of donations will go to families for emergency relief packages of Rice, Onion, Corn Flour, Sugar, Tea Leaf,  Oil, Soap, and Broth.  We have locals on the ground who will distribute the relief packages to the most at-risk families.

The pandemic has impacted each and every person in this world but in varying ways. If financially you are not able to, please do not feel obligated. But if you have the means to help, no matter the amount, we can't begin to thank you.

Sending you all the very best. Stay safe, healthy, and happy.

Stefan & Katie
