The humanitarian catastrophe in Gaza has deeply affected me so much that, in addition to my interest in social media about what's happening, it has driven me to seek out local contacts, people who are experiencing this tragedy, so I can try to help them even if we're far away. With a little stubbornness, I've managed to touch the hearts of two families. But the most beautiful thing is that they've touched mine. These contacts have proven to be trustworthy, genuine, and authentic. They have young children and are in need of everything as they've lost everything. Rose and her young son Adam, Mahomud and his little ones Salma and Hisham...they're people like us. We could be in their shoes, needing the bare necessities of life, like water, food, and blankets. Ciao, mi chiamo Maria Pia Quagliozzi, ho 41 anni e vivo a Roma. Lavoro in Banca Fideuram. Sono sposata ed ho un figlio piccolo.

La catastrofe umanitaria di Gaza mi ha estremamente colpito. E lo ha fatto a tal punto che, oltre ad interessarmi sui social su cosa accade, mi ha spinto fortemente a cercare dei contatti del luogo, persone che stanno vivendo questo dramma per provare ad aiutarle anche se siamo distanti. Con un pò di testardaggine sono riuscita ad entrare nel cuore di due famiglie. Ma la cosa più bella è che sono loro ad essere entrati nel mio. Questi contatti si sono rivelati affidabili, veri ed autentici. Hanno figli piccoli e sono bisognose di qualsiasi cosa. Hanno perso tutto. Rose e suo figlio piccolo Adam, Mahmoud ed i suo piccoli Salma ed Hisham......sono persone come noi. Potremmo essere noi al loro posto ed aver bisogno dell'essenziale per vivere, come acqua, cibo, coperte. In particolare le famiglie che seguo sono due.

Ho creato quindi un conto corrente a loro dedicato ed un account PayPal da utilizzare esclusivamente per trasferire liquidità che, spero con il tempo, riuscirò a raccogliere qui su GoFundMe. I fondi che riuscirò a raccogliere li trasferirò in modo diretto sui conti correnti delle famiglie.
