Faltynski IVF Roof Crashers

Donation protected

Bruce & Shelby have been trying to have children for over 4 years. The doctors haven't found any medical reason and all other medical interventions haven't been successful. The doctors have recommended IVF as their next and only option for any medically-assisted conception. They have been prayerfully on this journey, sought guidance from loved ones and spiritual advisors, and feel as if IVF is the direction God is leading!

BUT, it's a very expensive journey and the finances are a burden. Would you help us get them closer to the miracle God has for them by donating to their in-vitro fertilization expenses?

P.S. Bruce and & Shelby hated the idea of asking for support.... but as their friends, we couldn't help but do ALL that we could to help them, just as they have for others.  We've felt helpless to support them throughout their infertility journey and now WE CAN FINALLY DO SOMETHING!! Come and join!

Q&A:

Q:  What is IVF?

A:  In vitro fertilization is a procedure that retrieves mature eggs from the female and are then fertilized by her partner's sperm in a lab for monitoring. Then the fertilized eggs/embryos are transferred into the uterus. It is considered the most effective form of medical assistance for conception, but does not guarantee a live birth.  The process is very expensive and there are significant costs with every embryo transfer.

Q: What will Bruce & Shelby do with any embryos that are not immediately implanted?

A: Bruce & Shelby are committed to transferring all embryos over the course of time. When Shelby becomes pregnant, any remaining embryos will be medically frozen and kept safe until they have an opportunity to transfer the remaining in the future. Not all embryos will result in a pregnancy.  No matter how much medicine is used, God still decides which embryos will result in a pregnancy.

Q: What will the $30,000 be used for?

A: $30,000 is the cost of the IVF expenses including medications, procedures, traveling expenses to the fertility clinic, and other IVF-related expenses.  $30,000 is the total cost for ONE transfer so the couple will be in need again for every embryo they transfer.

Q: What will happen to the Faltynski's foster daughter?

A: Nothing will change for their foster child.  They are committed to caring for their current family, regardless of the outcome of IVF, and will continue to do so.

Q: Why GoFundMe? Doesn't it take money out of the donations?

A: GoFundMe does charge a very small and reasonable fee ($.30 per transaction + 2.9% for credit card fees) to cover the credit card fee for the transaction.  The convenience, ease of sharing with others, and the opportunity to give with a credit card outweighed these small fees.

Q: Can we give directly to Bruce & Shelby and not go through GoFundMe?

A: Of course! You can either contact me (Hope) to get more information or contact them directly.
