Fallen Heroes Run

Hi, it's the Flag Man! As many of you know I have been running and training for a major event. Well, here it is...I'm running the York Marathon on Sunday, May 15th. A couple weeks after the run, on June 4th, our American Legion Riders Post 605 will be having its 10th Annual Fallen Heroes Ride to benefit The Darren Hidalgo Scholarship Fund, the United States War Dog Association, the Ben Hines Memorial Foundation and the Dallastown Marine Corps JROTC. This event is to honor three local heroes that attended Dallastown Senior High School, went on to serve our country, and paid the ultimate sacrifice defending our freedom. I would greatly appreciate any support you can provide as I will be running 26.2 miles with "Old Glory" in honor of these heroes. I will also be carrying my brother's (Fletcher) ashes with me on the run in his honor. He was also a retired Marine who served 20 years. He died of a sudden heart attack over a year ago. I will be presenting a check for the total I receive for my run at the Fallen Heroes Ride. If you do not wish to donate that's okay but I would greatly appreciate your prayers while I continue my training. I am 54 and it has been 16 years since I ran the Marine Corps Marathon! I would also appreciate any encouragement! You could even come out and cheer me on as I cross the finish line at the end of the Rail Trail in York at Lafayette Plaza. That would be awesome!
