Hi my name is Jodie. I am godparent to be to the most beautiful and brave heart warrior Faith who has HLHS (Hyperplastic Left Heart Syndrome). In simple terms she was born with half a heart. Faith has had 2 open heart surgeries and 5 heart catheters. She is 1 year and 4 months old and has had a life full of pure love but has been through so much in her short time and is such a brave warrior. Faith's family recieved the devastating news that she cannot recieve the next surgery that she needs to survive as her heart is very complicated and just too poorly. Her lung pressures and a missing artery makes her not a suitable candidate for a heart transplant. They are waiting a 2nd opinion but have been told it is protocol and will be the same outcome
Without this lifesaving surgery Faith is on the palliative pathway and the family need to make memories whilst they can. They are also working with a hospice called Little Harbour. SJ (Faith's mummy) and all of her family are the most beautiful, kind and incredible people and they do not deserve to be going through this heartbreak. Faith's shunt is too small for her now which puts her in a very vulnerable place. We don't know how long Faith has making every day and making memories so important.
This family has been through so much and it just keeps coming. SJ's car is unrepairable. Her washing machine has also packed up and all in all things are beyond tough for a family that just needs to catch a break. It's took quite a lot of persuasion for SJ to allow me to set this up. She's the one that helps others constantly and doesn't know how to accept help but when we all feel helpless, this is the least we can do. Any weight we can take off her/their shoulders will be invaluable. This should be a time for them to make treasured memories without having to worry about money. Please only donate if you can afford it. We all know how hard times are financially and I know SJ would never want anyone to leave themselves short. Sharing this fundraiser will help hugely.
Follow Faith's Facebook and Instagram pages to support her journey.
Thank you so much for taking the time to read, donate and share. Let's make a heavy time that bit lighter for this wonderful family ❤️
