Hello everyone, my name is Danielle, a nurse living in New York City, and I am raising funds to help rebuild our Seventh-day Adventist church and support some of the poorest families in my home community of Arlington, located just five miles from Black River in St. Elizabeth, Jamaica, who have lost everything after the most devastating hurricane to ever hit the island. Our church, once a safe shelter, prayer home, and source of meals for struggling families has been severely damaged and cannot currently serve the community in its greatest time of need. Many families are now living without roofs, clean water, clothing, electricity, or food, and children are sleeping without protection from the weather. These funds will help repair the church, purchase food, clothing, hygiene kits, and assist the elderly and poorest people who cannot rebuild alone. As someone born and raised there, seeing my community suffer breaks my heart, and I feel called to help restore hope. Any amount you can give will make a meaningful difference for these families. Please consider donating, sharing, and keeping Black River in your prayers—together, we can rebuild faith and help this community rise again.
