Faith and Nolan: Seeking Safe Shelter

I (Faith) was a foster child who got abused and molested very frequently until I was put out at 17 with a 3 month old son (Nolan). Having no guidance or support system I fell victim to domestic violence in the partners I sought after, being eager for love and protection opened a door for incarcerated and homelessness. In December of 2020 the same year I beared child, my biological mother passed from Stage 4 Heart Failure. That loss was not only of life but loss of any form of hope that I had for a better life with my son. The past 3 1/2 yrs we have traveled out of Illinois (our home state) seeking help, went from suburbs to city into shelters, we’ve slept in police stations, I have even called DCFS on myself to receive ANY help as the father has never been active in my sons life to lean on all to no avail :( In September of 2023 GOD blessed us with a home in Chicago but it came at a cost to pay and August of 2024 we paid it and ended up living out of an Extended Stay hotel funded by my supporters and followers from being a content creator on social platforms! Praying daily and still fighting to improve our situation it was just too many odds stacked against me. Once September rolled around a settlement I had gotten from being involved in a MVA had settled & I decided to try my chances in a new state. I moved me and my son from Illinois to TN and have resided here since… I’ve been mentally improving with my mental health, physically I’ve managed to obtain 2 jobs in a span of 6 1/2 months for consistent income and I managed to remain housed. Last week my son was sexually assaulted by a babysitters younger sibling in our home in his own very room. The nature of the incident and the involvement of police and DCS has led us to receiving a 7 day notice to vacate the premises, which now leaves me with 72hrs currently today as of April 5. I have $500 to my name which will be used for a storage unit, $150 to pay 2 movers to help with loading/unloading heavy furniture, a U-Haul truck and a hotel room for at least 2-3 days whatever I can stretch with what’s left. I NEED GENUINE HELP and I’ve cried and begged publicly for YEARS I’m just seeking my own village to help me raise my child. I don’t want my son taken away and ending up in the very system that failed me, and I have no one to talk to, lean on or even ask for guidance at this time. I’m asking for financial assistance to obtain permanent stable housing!! Once I gain that piece my puzzle will be complete, Im looking to go back to school and focus on getting my son enrolled in school as well. I’m currently in Clarksville TN and it is a military city so there are no resources for situations such as mine the nearest resource is 45 minutes to an hour away, I have no transportation and public transportation is practically scarce here.
