Failsworth&Oldham walking and unity group

To whom this may concern,

My name is Bradley Robinson. In July 2023 I created a walking and unity group with its soul purpose being to help others.

I have suffered for the majority of my adult life with mental health and used addictive substances as a coping tool.

With love and support from my family and friends I managed to begin a journey to create a life beyond my wildest dreams. Along with this journey I want to be able to support others who suffer with mental health issues. My aim is to work as an advocate of mental health and allow people to see that with the right support around you, you are not alone and suicide and addictive substances are not the answer.

By creating this group it has allowed me to begin the process of reaching out to others and allowing people to feel safe in an environment to share their stories by walking and talking.

Our group has 400 plus members and we are continuously growing, our next project is to create a gofund me page to raise funds that we can then look to put back into the community in areas that need it.

Here are some of the things we would be looking to spend the money on;

A minibus to take people out on trips

Support the homeless with clothing or food

Local community gardens - we have recently started volunteering at impact church in Oldham.

Mental health talks in places where vulnerable people may be

These are a few of our ideas. With your help and support we will be able to make these dreams a reality and support as many people as possible realise there is a life beyond their negative thoughts and that they are not alone.
