Urgent: Safe Move to NM by July 7th

Hello, my name is Fayerene, many of you know me as Faeryn, and I’m a single mom reaching out with an urgent plea—for my children, our safety, and the chance at a new beginning.

We are trying to move from Alabama to New Mexico by July 7th, where I’ve been offered a life-changing opportunity: a job at UNM Hospital. This isn’t just employment—it’s our lifeline.

The truth is, Alabama has become unsafe for my children. My boys are Mexican American, and although they may be white-passing, we live in a place where ICE is active, bias is real, and fear is constant. I can no longer ignore the risk. I have to get them out.

This move is our path to stability. Albuquerque offers safety, resources, and a more inclusive community—a place where my children can thrive and feel seen.

But time is running out. As of today, we have only a few weeks left to relocate.

As a Spoonie single mom of four (and three cats), I’ve exhausted every personal resource I have to get us ready. But I simply can’t do this alone. That’s why I’m turning to my community—with humility and hope.
