So I will be the first to admit that I made this career choice. I comprehensively enjoy entertaining people. I love watching them have fun, and yes, I do love the compliments and feedback, of course. That feedback is an expression of what makes me, me. I love adding value to peoples lives and taking them out of their “life challenges” and difficult moments.
I embrace the challenge of being a self employed musician, and I own the net result. I further own the financial opportunity cost of my choices. I have chosen to substitute much, for the personal satisfaction of entertaining many throughout the growing number of years, of this path.
Though I own my situation, there are times where I must humbly reach out. I want to continue this awkward, challenging choice to be a musician. There is nothing else I can do. It is who I am.
Yes, the photos show my car broken into last week, and my equipment stolen. Unfortunately this is a common experience for my brothers and sisters, that have joined me on this crazy path.
We walk together on this bumpy, pothole filled, musical dirt highway.
I will survive and this is an opportunity for me to grow and continue to examine my resolve. With 30 years of mistakes behind me, I continue to find who I am and where I am going.
Thank you for listening ..
