Fund for fins!

Beth and Aileen here! Here’s a little info about what we’re trying to achieve!

Dan is a beloved member of our team in the Philippines, and his dedication and hard work has been essential since touring with our company started back in 2016. Based in Puerto Princesa, where he lives with his wife and children, Dan has been helping transport and support our guests/guides since the very beginning. He’s always been super welcoming and makes everyone feel at home in the Philippines. He’s our family away from home.

Recently, my fellow guide Aileen was chatting with Dan about the possibility of providing fins for rental to our guests to enhance their snorkelling experience. Currently, we only have a few snorkel masks, many of which are old and in need of replacement. Dan explained that he has wanted to buy fins for a while but the upfront cost is too high for the amount needed to provide for our large groups. Aileen seeing how monumental it would be for his business, decided she would work towards buying fins for Dan to be able to rent out and after telling me, we decided it

would be our mission to make this happen! With our current wages as guides this feels impossible so that’s when we decided to reach out for help. We’re aiming to raise around £700-750, which will cover the cost of the fins with any extra being used to replace any broken snorkels. Every little contribution will make a difference, and we would be incredibly grateful for any support. Dan and the boat boys are the heart of our guests’ experiences as well as family for us guides, helping him set up this small business would not only improve our guests time with us but also provide a sustainable future for him and his family.
