Olivia's Story - Please Keep Her in Your Prayers
On Sunday evening, 6/1/25, after a beautiful day at the beach,
8-year-old Olivia and her baseball-loving family headed to Lancaster City Park to enjoy a game. As they were leaving, in a tragic and unforeseeable accident, a foul ball flew just over the gate and struck Olivia directly in the left frontal lobe of her head.
She was rushed to Antelope Valley Hospital and quickly transferred to the UCLA Pediatric Intensive Care Unit.
Olivia is currently intubated and under heavy sedation.
She suffered a traumatic brain injury and a skull fracture. This morning, she will undergo brain surgery for her fractured skull.
Despite everything, Olivia is showing us just how strong and resilient she is. Yesterday, when her mom asked if she wanted to watch the Texas Tech vs Oklahoma softball game, Olivia was able to respond by raising her fingers-an incredible and hopeful sign.
She is a fighter. She loves baseball. She is deeply loved.
Please keep Olivia and her family in your thoughts and prayers as she continues this fight.
