Help Harper Survive a Trans Hate Crime and Sexual Assault

Donation protected
I am reaching out to you today to share the story of my friend Harper, an incredible trans woman who has recently endured a harrowing experience and urgently needs our support as a community.

On Wednesday, June 5th, Harper’s world was turned upside down while she was in Barcelona. She was drugged, brutally sexually assaulted, and mugged by two men, when she came round she also saw that the room was filled with between 10-12 other men, this experience is deeply traumatising and disturbing

The perpetrators have also drained her bank accounts.

This horrific incident not only left her physically and emotionally shattered but also stripped her of all her financial security. She has had no access to her bank accounts since - and a week on is only starting to bypass 2 factor verification that the perpetrators have continuously hacked.

Harper returned home with nothing but the clothes on her back and the trauma of that night. She spent hours in the police station, reliving the nightmare to file reports and undergo a comprehensive medical examination the next day. Despite her resilience, Harper, being a trans woman, faces heightened risks and prejudice that make her recovery even more challenging and her future uncertain.

But this isn’t just about one night. Harper has been struggling for the past seven months, without stable housing, relying on the kindness of friends for a couch to sleep on, and often finding herself without a safe place to call home. Her situation has left her feeling vulnerable and without the security that every person deserves, especially considering the increased risks faced by trans women.

We are raising £3000 help Harper find stable and safe housing, get therapy and cover the essential living costs and furnishing a room as she rebuilds her life and is able to take a little time off from work to recover and look after herself.

Your contributions will not only provide immediate relief but will also help Harper take significant steps toward regaining her independence and reclaiming her life with dignity.

Here’s how your support will help Harper:
* Secure Safe Housing: After months of instability, finding a safe and permanent place to live is Harper’s top priority. As a trans woman, she needs a safe and affirming environment to live in.
* Cover Immediate Living Expenses: From food to clothing and transportation, your donations will help Harper meet her daily needs and reduce her risk of further harm.
* Therapy: Harper desperately needs access to some therapy to help her recover from this attack and be able to heal with grace and be able to recover

Harper is a vibrant, compassionate, and strong individual who deserves a chance to heal and move forward. With your help, we can provide her with the stability and security she needs to rebuild her life and find hope in the future.

Please consider donating to support Harper in this time of need. Every contribution, no matter the size, will make a tremendous difference. If you are unable to donate, sharing this campaign with your network will also help us reach our goal and offer Harper the support she so desperately needs.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your generosity, compassion, and support.
