My name is Luke Cato. I am the founder of ‘REAL Direction’, an organisation founded to tackle youth crime and exploitation.
 
I have created and self-funded a Full Motion Video (FMV) mobile game which is one, if not the only story narrative game to be produced from the UK BAME community which has been downloaded globally.  It's on you' is designed for the player to make decisions on behalf of the lead character which determines the direction and outcome of the story.
 
Following the success of it’s on you there has been a high demand from numerous sectors within our community, including the general public requesting a follow up and asking for more interactive film content.  I aim to provide this with the support of my community, companies and individuals who see the value and potential that this game has to become a national teaching tool.

The donations received will be used for the purpose of creating an interactive movie that is more diverse and covers a range of topics that affect our young people. I aim to make this game free to access for all and ensure the outcomes are positive for our communities.  The production of the movie content will include local talented individuals ensuring we provide opportunities for the youth alongside locally sourced marketing and production companies.

  

I would like to take this opportunity to thank you all for your support and for the nomination of BBC1XTRA Future Figures Award 2022.  I want to continue making black history and to continue inspiring our young people whilst highlighting the dangers and possible consequences of their actions and decision making.

 

The production will be released free on IOS and available on Google Play. The filming of the movie content will take place in a number of various locations around the UK to provide an insight into the diverse challenges faced by the youth within those areas, tailoring it uniquely to the location.
