My grandmother and I have always had a close bond. She lives in a nursing facility in St. Clair, Michigan and has early onset Alzheimer’s. We have been lucky enough to meet many of her dear friends who also live and are cared for in the facility by amazing caretakers who treat them like family. With the current pandemic to keep the residents safe the facility has gone on complete lockdown so no visitors can come in and play card and board games with the residents to keep their spirits up. They are still accepting deliveries so I was inspired by this need of the elderly residents to get through the lock down while maintaining their joy and allowing them to enjoy the simple pleasures of life while we get through this pandemic. I am organizing this GoFund Me page so 100 percent of the proceeds will go to buying board games, card games and Easter and Passover candy for the residents to create care packages for each of them to be delivered to Regency on the Lake Nursing Facility in St. Clair, Michigan. The staff is excited about this drive and were thrilled that we can serve the residents in this way.
