Yorkshire 3 Peaks
Donation protected
The Project Group, a dedicated team of individuals, are undertaking the formidable Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge. This endurance event involves traversing an arduous 24-mile route across the three highest peaks in Yorkshire: Pen-y-Ghent, Whernside, and Ingleborough. They are embarking on this demanding feat not for personal glory, but to raise vital funds for a truly commendable cause: Tommy's Voice.
Every single penny raised from their efforts will directly benefit the Veteran and Armed Forces Community through the invaluable work of Tommy's Voice. This exceptional organization provides a crucial "safe space" for Veterans and their families. This safe space is more than just a physical location; it's a sanctuary where individuals can find:
Community and Connection: A place to combat social isolation and connect with others who share similar experiences, fostering a sense of belonging and mutual understanding.
Support and Guidance: Access to a network of support, whether it's for mental health, welfare, housing, employment, or navigating the complexities of civilian life after service.
Respite and Relaxation: A calm and welcoming environment where veterans and their families can decompress, relax, and find solace away from the stresses of everyday life.
Activities and Engagement: Opportunities to participate in activities, workshops, and social events that promote well-being, skill development, and positive engagement.
Advocacy and Information: A hub for information and advocacy, ensuring veterans and their families are aware of their rights and can access the services they need.
The Project Group's commitment to conquering the Yorkshire Three Peaks demonstrates their unwavering support for those who have served our country. Their fundraising efforts will enable Tommy's Voice to continue and expand its vital provisions, making a tangible and positive difference to the lives of Veterans and their families across the community.
