Livery Food Intiative - WCoMC support page

We are all very aware of the contrast between the wealth within the City Livery Companies and food poverty in nearby areas. Food banks and other charities are facing a decrease in donations at a time when the need is increasing exponentially. The Worshipful Company of Management Consultants Charitable Fund has promised to match all donations given by Members for the Livery Food Initiative (including Gift Aid) up to £3,000.

The Livery Food Initiative has been launched by the Livery Charity Chairs Group (LCCG*). We are seeking funding to increase the volume of surplus food able to be redistributed in London by City Harvest. Funding will go towards the operating costs of keeping the food rescue vans running. Given the deepening crisis, we plan to provide sustainable funding for City Harvest. LCCG is asking for contributions from all those within the Livery movement. Every £190,000 we raise will enable us to keep one of the City Harvest vans rolling for three years, delivering 2.4 million meals over that time.
