Hello dear people!
I am asking for your financial assistance on behalf of my sweet seester, Lisa. I've only got one, and I'd like to keep her around a lot longer! Help us meet a $22,000 goal now to secure a modicum of good health and stability after her recent colon cancer, shattered hip, and just-diagnosed 3rd stage kidney disease.
Following her intense chemotherapy and having to learn to walk again, she is very fragile. Although in remission, Lisa and Greg are straining to cover expenses, both being on a fixed income and currently without a car. Insurance is not covering many alternative therapies; chelation alone to remove toxins from her system is over $8,000. She is hoping to begin this process within the month.
Lisa is exploring other cutting-edge cancer treatments, also at a great expense. On top of health insurance, plus the related high out-of-pocket expenses, there is ongoing transportation to/from doctor appointments and therapies that may even be out of the area. In addition are medicines and supplements, counseling, physical therapy, and being able to purchase nourishing dietary foods.
With very limited ability to work, her managing these urgent medical processes is an extraordinary task, and she is trying to leave no stone unturned. Her health has been an ongoing struggle throughout her adult life, with each “cure” creating additional physical predicaments.
It’s a dire situation to go forward without financial help.
Lisa has always had a passion for artists and is known for her generosity in moving arts programs and careers toward success. She has had a successful, thriving career starting at Xochipilli Gallery, as the founding cultural director for Arts Beats & Eats, and has worked with numerous individual artists and organizations in Michigan and beyond. Lisa has also been involved with Chamber Music Detroit for many years and spent over 40 years training and teaching in Aikido, her chosen path in life.
It’s a real struggle for her to improve and continue moving onward. That’s where you come in. Help us meet a $22,000 goal within the next six months for Lisa to go forward securely, able to make ensured healthcare decisions based on funds available. If you are not able to give, we ask that you share the GoFundMe link – https://www.gofundme.com/f/f2kgf-lisas-assistance-fund - anything we can do to make others aware will help to alleviate the overwhelming and mounting costs.
You can connect with Lisa directly; I’m sure she’d love to hear from you. We are ever so grateful for the support and love.
