Help a Brave 14-Year-Old and His Family Through Their Toughest Fight
We’re reaching out with heavy hearts to ask for your help for a wonderful family going through an incredibly difficult time. Their 14-year-old son has been diagnosed with Non-Hodgkin Lymphoma and is currently receiving treatment in hospital in Aberdeen — miles away from the comfort of his own home.
Originally from Belfast, the family now lives in Scotland. His parents are doing everything they can to be by his side during this heartbreaking journey, staying near the hospital to support him through intensive treatment. This means they’ve had to leave their other child at home, whom is autistic and requires additional care and support.
Extended family members have stepped in to help care for the sibling back home, but it’s becoming clear that they need more help. The emotional and financial strain of travel, accommodation, and splitting their family across locations is immense. They are trying to bring more family members over from Belfast to help care for the child at home, while the parents stay close to their son in hospital.
This fundraiser will help cover:
• Travel and accommodation costs for family members coming from Belfast
• Living expenses while the parents stay near the hospital in Aberdeen
• Support for their other autistic child, during this time of upheaval
• Any additional costs that arise from this unexpected and heartbreaking diagnosis
Any donation, no matter how small, will go directly to supporting this family in their time of need. If you’re unable to donate, sharing this campaign would mean the world.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your kindness, compassion, and support.
