As the holiday season approaches, we’re reminded of the power of generosity, community, and giving back. This time of year calls us to pour into the places and people that shape us — and at the heart of our Eritrean community are our youth.
Since 2018, the Eritrean Youth Mentorship Program (EYMP) has created a space where Eritrean youth, young adults, and parents come together to learn from one another and build meaningful, intergenerational relationships. Through individual mentoring, group sessions, and community events, we guide our youth as they navigate academics, identity, friendships, culture, and the challenges of young adulthood.
Our mission is simple but profound: to nurture confident, grounded, and empowered young Eritrean leaders.
This season, we invite you to join our End-of-Year Holiday Giving Campaign as we work to raise $5,000 to sustain and expand our programs in 2026. Your gift will directly fuel the program to ensure that EYMP can continue offering the resources that help our youth become confident, grounded, and empowered young adults.
Thanks to your past generosity, EYMP has been able to offer impactful programs such as:
College Prep Workshop: Reached 200+ students, in collaboration with EriStars, with college essay support, financial aid guidance, scholarship resources, and career exploration alongside professionals from diverse fields.
Cultural Day: Celebrated our Eritrean identity and heritage, strengthening pride and connection.
Tech Field Day: Partnered with Eritreans in Tech, students visited Amazon’s Skills Center for hands-on learning and connection with tech professionals.
Community Service Project: Prepared 250+ sandwiches to support food-insecure families, practicing compassion and leadership while serving the community.
Our mentorship program and events have transformed lives, and with your continued support, we can create even more opportunities in the year ahead.
