I'm reaching out today because I'm fundraising for my Mom.

The last four months have been challenging, to say the least.

We went from sending out save-the-date invitations for her milestone birthday party, to two days later, her not being able to move or walk at all. While she’s been making improvements, she’s still unable to walk on her own.

She’s currently at a skilled nursing rehabilitation facility and although she’s still in need of 24-hour care, her insurances are no longer covering her stay, therefore, we have to private pay.

The physical and occupational therapy at this facility have been phenomenal, and we feel like if she had another month, we’re hopeful that she’d be walking on her own (without the help of the therapists) using her walker.

This facility is $464 per day and that does not include medication. The total amount for 30 days is $13,920.

Therapy is $2 per minute and she’d need rehabilitation therapy 3-4 times weekly.

Even throughout all of her pain and recent complications, she still smiles on most days, tries to keep a positive outlook, and has even sung her special “Happy Birthday” song (IYKYK) to quite a few people.

If you know my mom, you know her heart is as big as her voice. I have done and will do anything for her without question or hesitation. My world doesn’t function the same without her.
