Expenses for Rebecca's Family

Our hearts are broken. Nate Wichert, selfless friend, loving husband, and devoted father of two lost his private struggle with depression on January 16th, taking his own life. Nate is survived by his three girls-his wife, Rebecca, and his daughters, Valarie and Violet.

Valarie is a strong 18-month-old girl born with an extreme form of Hirschsprung's disease, a rare disorder that leaves her intestines entirely nonfunctional. Violet is a beautiful baby girl just recently born eight weeks premature, and she is still in the NICU today as she develops.

Rebecca is a stay-at-home mother, as Valarie requires around-the-clock medical care. With the loss of her husband, she has no income to care for her family. Violet will be home with her soon, and it will take all her effort to give both girls all the love and care they deserve.

Rebecca is going through enough as it is. She should not have to be worried about being able to afford to pay her bills and care for her children. We cannot heal her broken heart, but we can help support her through this very sad and difficult time. All funds donated will be used to help Rebecca and her daughters directly- we will directly pay medical bills, phone bills, and other daily quality-of-life resources, as well as contributing to an ABLE account, to best utilize the donations while maintaining her and her daughters' eligibility for public benefits.
