Hi, I’m 13 years old and in the summer of 2027, just after I turn 15, I’ll be travelling to Ecuador with Camps International for a month-long volunteering and conservation expedition.
I’ll be working on local community and environmental projects, helping with conservation work, and trekking through the Amazon rainforest. This is an opportunity I’m incredibly excited about, not just for the adventure, but because I want to make a real difference.
But I don’t want to just show up and help abroad. I believe that positive impact should start at home too.
Throughout 2026, I will be volunteering regularly with Moor Trees in South Devon. So far, I have:
Planted 100 trees in a hedge at a site near Bickington
Prepared a planting bed and planted 306 seedlings at a tree nursery near Bittaford
Begun ongoing volunteering helping with seed collecting, planting, and maintaining young trees
I will continue volunteering throughout the year to create real environmental impact here in Devon, while also raising money to support my work in Ecuador.
My goal is to raise £2000 towards the expedition. Every donation, big or small, will help me take this opportunity and turn it into something meaningful for both local communities and the environment.
This experience will challenge me, grow my confidence, and allow me to contribute to conservation work in one of the most biodiverse places on Earth. I’m determined to work hard, fundraise responsibly, and continue giving back at home while preparing for this journey.
Thank you so much for supporting me. It truly means a lot.
