This is my buddy Charlie, a 5 year old parti poodle that belongs to my good friends Carlos and Teddy. Last week Charlie was diagnosed with an abscess on his spleen and needs to have it removed. The veterinarian said that it is urgent since, if the abscess ruptures, Charlie could bleed to death internally. On the plus side, if Charlie can have his spleen removed then he is likely to go on to live a normal, healthy life.

Carlos and Teddy have already spent close to $3,000 on the visit to the vet and the lab work and tests. The estimate for the spleen removal is $10,000 to $12,000. This amount is way beyond what Carlos and Teddy can scrape up on their own in a very short amount of time. So, I created this page on their behalf to hopefully help them come up with the funds necessary for Charlie's surgery. Anything you can give, any amount, will help. Any funds raised beyond what is needed for the surgery will be donated to Animal Samaritans.
