Help EXHALE Stamp Out Racism

Hello! I'm Tanika Chambers, the founder of G.H.A.M.P Inc.(Giving Hope & Minding People) and an awardee of the Mayor's Citizen award in Woodstock, New Brunswick. I am truly grateful that you've taken the time to visit our GoFundMe page.

We are raising funds for a very important cause to stamp out racism in the future- by cultivating cross-cultural relationships today. We are actively doing this through our various G.H.A.M.P. events I.e Black History Month initiatives and our weekly E.X.H.A.L.E program operating in Woodstock, New Brunswick.

Our ask is to raise funds to fully fund our impactful E.X.H.A.L.E Girl's club program for a year.

In our journey so far, we've made some strides towards achieving our financial goals. In 2024, we applied for and were fortunate to receive a small grant for Club E.X.H.A.L.E . This grant has been instrumental in helping us kickstart our initiatives and make a difference in the lives of the girls we serve.

In addition to the grant, we've also received $500 from the Town of Woodstock to kick-start a cooking program which was a success. It ran for 4 classes. We aren't able to continue unfortunately due to a lack of funding.

In the past we've held fundraising initiatives that brought some much-needed funds and it helped to bring more awareness about our cause.

Despite these successes, there is still a significant funding gap that we need to fill to ensure the continued operation and success of the E.X.H.A.L.E program. This is where your generous support comes in.

Your Contribution Will Make a Difference:

1. Empowering Young Girls: Your support will help us provide a safe, nurturing environment for girls aged 7 to 11 years old.

2. Promoting Cultural Diversity and Integration:

The E.X.H.A.L.E Girls Club is a platform where girls of different races and backgrounds come together, fostering an environment of acceptance and respect for all. This is particularly beneficial for visible minorities i.e Black girls who are new to Woodstock. Through the club, they get the opportunity to meet, interact, and build friendships with girls who may not look like them. This exposure to diverse cultures and perspectives not only enriches their personal growth but also aids in their seamless integration into the wider community.

Your support will truly help us continue to build this bridge of understanding and unity, contributing to the overall social cohesion and harmony in Woodstock.

3. Provide Educational Opportunities: We will be able to offer more educational workshops and programs that promote well-being, understanding and appreciation.

4. Fostering Community Engagement: We will be able to organize events and initiatives where more girls can participate and engage with our programming.

5. Boosting Local Economy: Your contribution will have a positive economic impact on our town. It will create job opportunities for our program director, contractors, and facilitators.

Where Your Money Will Go:

Child Participation Costs: This includes items such as registration fees, educational outings (some travel involved) and weekly snacks for 10 girls in the program.

Staff Compensation: Compensate our Executive Director/Program Director, who has been running the program without a wage.

("Finding a job since relocating to NB in 2023 has been challenging as a University Communications Graduate.
This pushed me to create G.H.A.M.P Inc (Giving Hope & Minding People) so that I could give back to community using my strong mentoring and program planning skills.

I take great joy in being the Founder and CEO of G.H.A.M.P and Creator of E.X.H.A.L.E For All Well-Being (E.X.H.A.L.E Girls Club)

Contractors and Workshop Facilitators: We would like to offer a stipend/honorarium to our program contractors, facilitators, and other professionals who contribute to the successful running of the program.

Program Location Cost: We have been blessed to operate our weekly program inside of the Any Key Music Academy as of 2026 ..previously held inside of the now Bethel Assembly's "Friendship Center," formerly known as Woodstock's first African Methodist Episcopal Church. The Black History of this church runs very deep for us being a Black lead organization. We were extremely happy to run our program there integrating all nationalities. Your donation would help us to cover the cost of running a monthly cooking club there.

FINALLY..

Whether you live within Carleton County, New Brunswick or not your financial support would mean the world to us. Every contribution, no matter how small, can make a big difference.

Thank you for your support in helping us stamp out racism in the future - by cultivating cross-cultural relationships today.
