It's A New Season

“I would have lost heart, unless I had believed That I would see the goodness of the Lord In the land of the living. Wait on the Lord; Be of good courage, And He shall strengthen your heart; Wait, I say, on the Lord!”

I am writing this with a heart fully rooted in the belief that I will see God’s goodness, and that He is writing a testimony like only He can.

On July 7th, as a result of choices my wife made that endangered the lives of me and my children, my three children were separated from their mother by officials in Dallas, TX and placed in my full custody. Around 2am, I received a phone call from my brother. CPS had reached out to my sister-in-law because it was the only number they could find in her phone that had my last name. Due to evidence of aggressive behaviour and neglect, my wife was detained and my children were taken to a local DFW hospital. I was able to get a flight for later that evening, but to make sure my children did not enter the foster care system, a friend from Dallas was given approval by CPS to pick up my children and they were placed in her care until my arrival. I was instructed not to return the children to her under any circumstances. A CPS caseworker was assigned to interview the children, myself, and my wife. After the interview they established that I would have full custody of the children for their safety and wellbeing.

While I understand that this news may come as a complete shock to many, we are asking for prayers of strength and grace as we navigate this transition. I want to let you all know that me and the kiddos are safe and settling into new norms. I am asking you to graciously consider donating to support us during this new season. All donations will be used toward items for the children (clothes, furniture, school supplies, therapy sessions, etc), housing, vehicle, ongoing legal fees, family therapy, and more.

Would you stand with us? While I never anticipated being a single dad so abruptly, day after day I am honored that God would choose me to steward these amazing kiddos.

We will see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living. I truly believe we will.
