EXCHANGING ROOMS
Donation protected
If you have passed the former Football Changing Rooms, on Ernesettle Green, you may have noticed a lot of activity as The eXchanging Room Project has started to transform this disused facility.
This exciting new initiative is to repurpose the redundant building and to convert it into a multipurpose skills workshop for the use of the community.
when complete, It will help facilitate the learning and sharing of practical skills, such as carpentry, metalwork, mechanics, pottery and basket work, it will be open to anyone who wants to engage in these activities or any other activity that would benefit from a workshop environment
Youngsters from Plymouth Football Boot Bank,St Aidan's church and the sound youth club have made a start in smartening up the exterior of the building, as the building is already aiding them in their community youth work.
Currently project team are trying to find funding to refurbish the interior, so it is fit for purpose, by putting in a Kitchenett and a disability toilet, they have also started asking the community what sort of activities they would like to see happen in the facility. If you have an idea or would like to get involved, please contact them via their Facebook page ExChanging Rooms, Ernesettle, or email Derry Bowman at [email redacted] or Glenn Jordan at [email redacted].uk
