Support for Manny Aruho

Hello everyone,

Our family is reaching out with a request. As many of you know, we have been so fortunate to have Manny as part of our family for the past ten years. His journey has been one of incredible triumphs and serious challenges. Many of you are aware that recently, he was missing in San Francisco for multiple weeks. Fortunately, we were able to find him, and he is back home with us in Ojai safe and sound. At this point in his life, Manny is ready to dive into intensive trauma therapy to be able to heal and create a joyful, independent life for himself. This is where our request comes in.

While we have been able to financially support Manny for the past ten years, the initial funds have been depleted by college tuition, rent, therapy, and other costs, so we are reaching out to ask for your generosity in supporting Manny in this next phase of his recovery. Through evaluations and consultations with professionals, we feel the best way forward for Manny is a residential 90-day treatment program with trauma specialists. We are looking to raise $150,000 for this program, which we believe will lead Manny down a path of true healing, and empower him to embrace all life has to offer him.

A final note about timing: given Manny’s current situation and the admission process at the residential facilities we are focusing on, time is of the essence relative to raising funds. We would appreciate your donations as soon as possible.
