Evolution Treks Peru

Hi, my name is Samantha and for my birthday I’m am fundraising for a tour company in Peru called Evolution Treks Peru.

In June of last year for my 50th birthday a group of us went on a pilgrimage to Machu Picchu. Evolution Treks Peru is the company we used. They are the first tour company in Peru to employ women as porters, guides and chefs. They provide their team with proper attire, shoes, backpacks, tents and sleeping equipment. They are one of the only companies to do this. They also pay their workers fair wages for the work they do.

As you may have heard Machu Picchu has been shut down due to the issues that are going on in Peru. First Covid and now this. Evolution Treks Peru isn’t able to operate their tours putting the many workers out of work again. Unable to care for their families
