Evie's Expedition to Peru with Camps International

In July 2025, I am travelling to Peru to volunteer on a 4 week expedition with Camps International.

I will be working with other volunteers on a range of sustainable and meaningful community and conservation projects.

In Peru 50% of rural communities live below the poverty line.

As volunteers we will be working on projects specific to the regional needs. These projects include:

-Construction (houses, schools and medical centres)

-Conservation

-Education (Maths, English and Nutrition).

This is a once in a lifetime experience to support projects which are designed to provide sustainable long-term support to the communites in some of the most rural areas.

We will stay in camps loacted in the heart of these communities and learn about the local culture.

As part of this experience we have been encouraged to fundraise. I have already completed a number of bake sales, have some car boot sales planned and will be undertaking a sponsered TANDEM SKYDIVE.

On the 30th May, I will be going to 15000 feet and jumping out of an aeroplane with my Dad. This is well outside my comfort zone and any encouragement is appreciated.
