Hi, my name is Evie, and I am fundraising to join Camps International for a 4 week expedition in Costa Rica in 2027. Whilst there, I will be learning about innovative and sustainable solutions to environmental issues and get involved in projects to support the environment, wildlife, and community. These projects include:
- Supporting local communities with infrastructure projects, such as schools and playgrounds for the children.
- Helping conservationists to protect the natural wildlife by reforestation, beehive construction, and encouraging eco-tourism.
These projects are designed to make a significant and lasting impact in the region, but this will also make a significant and lasting impact on me, by confirming in me the importance of community and building such essential life skills of confidence, resilience, leadership, and teamwork.
To be able to take advantage of this wonderful opportunity, I need to raise £5.5k to cover the cost of the expedition. I will be doing many fundraising activities and every donation, no matter the size, will help me take part and make a difference.
