Hi friends! My name is Samantha Dunn and I am a local mom who is trying to make a difference in our community this Mother's Day.

I am raising money to help give 23+ deserving Moms at Gillian's Place a special Mother's Day.

My goal? To raise $500 by the end of the week to give each Mom a $20 gift card to Tim Horton's, Chapters, Starbucks, Walmart, Amazon, Sephora, etc.

Donations will be accepted via GoFundMe until Saturday May 10 2025 at 12pm, and the gift cards will be presented to staff at Gillian's Place on time for Mother's Day this Sunday May 11 2025.

Gillian’s Place is much more than a safe shelter. GP provides confidential and compassionate emergent and non-emergent programs and services to individuals and families facing gender-based violence in the community.

Gillian’s Place offers services and spaces where all survivors can come without reservation, knowing they will be welcomed, respected, and provided with hope, support, and choices.

Last year, 241 women and children lived in GP’s safe shelter

Over 6,600 crisis calls and texts were answered by counsellors

616 obtained legal support and advice form GP’s lawyer
