Every Kid in a Coat
Donation protected
Dear Friends,
Did you know that there are TENS OF THOUSANDS of children right here in Utah who live in poverty? In every school in our district, there are children whose families cannot afford to pay for warm clothing as temperatures drop.
No child should face the winter without a coat, especially when so many in our community have the desire and the means to make a difference in these children’s lives. A $25 donation would allow us to purchase a coat for one precious child whose family is unable to provide them with one. How many
children can you help this winter?
You will not only be making a difference in the kid's lives when you help get them into a coat, but their family's lives too. When this campaign was run in 2021, the kindness of strangers helped get 800 coats to needy kids. Here is a message we received from a parent:
"Thank you for doing this. We once had nothing and somebody donated a coat to the school for my son. It lasted 3 winters. Three winters I didn't have to stress. People think about keeping the kids warm, which is obviously first, but it also reduces the stress in that child's home as well. Anyway, thank you!"
We are working with the Jordan Education Foundation to help us identify the families who otherwise face another freezing winter. We are aiming to collect and purchase 1000 coats to get the neediest elementary kids into warm clothing by December.
One hundred percent of donations go toward purchasing coats for these children.
We can also collect donations via Venmo (
If you want to donate new or gently used coats (please, smoke-free homes only for our kids’ health), we would be so grateful.
