Help Keep History Alive: Replace the Military Museum's Air Conditioning

For more than 20 years, the Military Museum of North Florida has been dedicated to preserving the stories, artifacts, and sacrifices of America's service members. As a nonprofit museum, we are operated primarily by volunteers and rely on donations from our community to continue our mission.

Today, we are facing an urgent challenge. Our air conditioning system has failed and must be replaced.

Florida's heat and humidity don't just make the museum uncomfortable—they also threaten the preservation of irreplaceable military artifacts, uniforms, documents, photographs, and equipment that have been entrusted to our care. Without a properly functioning HVAC system, these historic items can suffer permanent damage from excessive heat and moisture.

Every year, thousands of visitors—including veterans, active-duty military members, students, families, and tourists—walk through our doors to learn about our nation's military history. We strive to provide a welcoming environment where veterans can share their stories, children can learn firsthand about history, and future generations can appreciate the sacrifices made to protect our freedom.

Unfortunately, replacing a commercial air conditioning system is a major expense that is beyond our regular operating budget.
