Every Child Matters Run and Walk

Donation protected
On September 30th, the University of Alberta's Indigenous Law Students' Association (ILSA), in partnership with Adam Erasmus and Anita Cardinal-Steward, is holding an Orange Shirt Day Run/Walk in support and awareness of those who did not survive the Residential school era and for those who did.

This planned run/walk is an independent, autonomous, not-for-profit volunteer organization that aims to connect, support, and foster the relationships of Indigenous peoples and the advancement of programs and initiatives that advocate for the maintenance of Indigenous identity through spiritual, cultural, and traditional practices and finding support to do so.

Members of "On The Run", a running club in the University's Law Faculty, will be participating in the run/walk.

We want to help make this event as successful as possible while bringing awareness to the discovery of more than 1000 Indigenous children's bodies in unmarked graves at the site of former Indian Residential Schools.

Therefore, we are fundraising to support the event's goal of making this a yearly event. Your support will invest in initiatives that will be an ongoing objective to represent and support the interests of residential school survivors and the painful but necessary process of locating the remains of those children who did not come home from these "schools."

It would be greatly appreciated if you could donate or simply "share" this page to help support the event.

Attached below is the link to the event's website should you want to reach out/get any more information.
