Dandara’s proposal to build 149 houses off Wainsford Road will swallow up our vital green spaces, bring traffic gridlock to our narrow local lanes and overwhelm an infrastructure that is already “bursting at the seams."

We are a community-led action group of Everton volunteers fighting back. Dandara has the financial power of a major developer, but we have the power of our community! To defeat them at the planning stage with New Forest District Council (NFDC), we cannot rely on emotional objections alone. We must fight them with independent, professional and technical evidence that the planning committee cannot legally ignore.

What Is At Stake For Everton?

• Infrastructure Failure: Our village infrastructure is incredibly limited. Our local GP surgeries and schools have no spare capacity to absorb the families of 149 new households.

• Traffic & Safety on Wainsford Road: Adding hundreds of daily vehicular trips onto Wainsford Road will create dangerous bottlenecks and safety hazards on rural roads never designed for this volume of traffic.

• Erosion of Village Character: This development will permanently erode the quiet, rural character of Everton, pushing an urbanised footprint right up to the edge of the New Forest National Park boundary.

• Environmental Impact: Destroying our open fields will decimate local wildlife, ancient hedgerows and the natural drainage of the land, heavily increasing local surface water runoff risks.

Every single penny raised by this page will go into a community fund used exclusively to hire independent experts to challenge Dandara's claims.

2. An Independent Highways/Traffic Consultant: To conduct a professional assessment proving that Wainsford Road and the surrounding village junctions cannot safely handle the traffic influx.

Following their public exhibition, Dandara is preparing to submit their formal planning application to the New Forest District Council later this summer. They have already filed an Environment Impact Assessment (EIA) screening request to push their timeline forward ahead of the Local Plan update due in late 2026.
