Even MOAR Lawyer Fees - IRCC, Canadian Immigration

Hey everyone,

I'm once again asking for your help. I'm nearing the end of this immigration journey and now I'm going to enter in a fight with the IRCC. They have deemed me inadmissible to Canada on grounds of previous criminal history. The charge? Leaving the scene of an accident, where I backed into a car in a parking lot and panicked. After the panic subsided, I went back to the scene cause of the guilt I felt over leaving and got ticketed. I finished community service for it and paid $160USD in restitution, since it was an unattended car and there was very, VERY minor damage (I was backing up, not enough speed to do any damage lol)

But, because it is less than 10 years old, they are trying to fight my application for spousal sponsorship and I have to hire a separate specialist lawyer to handle to forms and case that needs to be open to "deem me rehabilitated". This is going to cost us $2500CAD. We have less than 30 days to submit everything (per IRCC's terms), and the lawyer we're hiring is going to work with us on payment plans but essentially the fee schedule follows the deadline.

So, here we are, asking for help. We haven't recovered from all the other requests the IRCC has made that has forced me to travel to acquire documents that weren't able to be attained without being in person. Anything, and everything, is appreciated deeply.

I just want this to be over, and be able to stay home.
