Hi, my name is Karla and I’m 18 years old, and I’m raising funds for my family as we care for our mom, Evelin. On July 5th, 2024, she suffered three major strokes that changed our lives forever. Since then, she’s been in and out of hospitals and battling a seizure disorder. She’s now home, but she needs full-time care, and my dad’s maintenance job can’t cover the growing costs.

As the oldest and only daughter, I’ve taken on the role of caregiver for my younger brothers, all while finishing my senior year of high school and preparing for graduation. My dad and I do everything we can, but the financial burden is becoming too much. We’re even considering selling our family home to stay afloat.

My mom needs physical therapy and ongoing care, but many of these services aren’t covered, and we simply can’t afford them on our own. If you’re able to help, we’d be deeply grateful. Thank you for reading our story and for supporting us in any way you can.

Hola, mi nombre es Karla, y estoy recaudando fondos para mi familia mientras cuidamos a mi mamá, Evelin. El 5 de julio de 2024, sufrió tres derrames cerebrales que cambiaron nuestras vidas por completo. Desde entonces ha estado entrando y saliendo del hospital, y ahora también vive con un trastorno de convulsiones. Está en casa, pero necesita cuidados constantes, y el trabajo de mantenimiento de mi papá no alcanza para cubrir todos los gastos.

Soy la hija mayor y la única niña, y me he convertido en la cuidadora de mis hermanos mientras termino mi último año de escuela y me preparo para graduarme. Hacemos todo lo posible, pero la carga económica ya es demasiado. Incluso estamos considerando vender nuestra casa para poder sobrevivir.

Mi mamá necesita terapia física y cuidados continuos, pero muchos de estos servicios no están cubiertos y no podemos pagarlos solos. Si puedes ayudarnos, estaríamos inmensamente agradecidos. Gracias por leer nuestra historia y por cualquier apoyo que puedas brindarnos.
