**Fighting to Stay in My Son’s Life Legal Help Needed**

My name is Evan, and I’m the other parent of a three-year-old boy named Océan. I’m raising $4,100 to retain a family law attorney so I can formally file for divorce and pursue custody proceedings to protect my relationship with my son before it’s erased entirely.

Over the past two months, I’ve been cut out of my son’s life in a way that’s been painful, disorienting, and deeply destabilizing. What started as brief, interrupted phone calls has turned into complete silence on some days. The average time I get to speak to my son if I’m allowed to is just 3.7 minutes per day.

Our agreed-upon plan was for my son to spend the summer with me in Los Angeles. He was supposed to be here starting April 21st, and I had restructured my entire life to support that. When I moved to Los Angeles, it was for a job that unfortunately fell through. I’ve since recovered, found new work, and have done everything I can to show up for my son. But none of it matters when I am being systematically removed from his life without cause and without due process.

The only option left is legal action, and for that I need your help. I’ve secured an attorney who is ready to move forward, but the required retainer is $4,100, and I set the overall at $10k for follow up legal fees. Every dollar raised will go directly toward retaining that representation so I can file for divorce and pursue a custody order that protects my rights as a parent and more importantly, my son’s right to have both of his parents in his life.
