Evan Lenz's Eagle Scout Project- Baseball Dugouts
Donation protected
Hello! My name is Evan Lenz. I am a 17-year-old boy scout from Troop 416 of Independence, NJ. In order to achieve the rank of Eagle Scout before my 18th birthday, I must complete a service project which benefits the community. I'm conducting this fundraiser in order to help with the costs of building two baseball dugouts at the Pit Field where Colonial Little League will (hopefully) be playing this upcoming Spring of 2021. As a former member of the Colonial Little League, I wanted to give back to the people who inspired my love for baseball, which prepared me to play two years with the Hackettstown High School Tigers baseball program. I've learned so many life lessons from this game, and it has had a huge impact on shaping me into the person I am today. The funds will mostly be going towards the costs of materials such as plywood, pressure treated wood posts, fencing, concrete, etc. If the fundraising goal is exceeded by any margin, or if costs turn out to be less than planned, all excess funds will go directly to Colonial Little League. I'm planning to begin constructing the dugouts by Saturday November 21st, so I will need some funding as soon as possible. It would mean the world to my family and I if you could help me finish my long journey through scouting, and especially to help improve the quality of playing for the kids.
